Anxietynomore App

Anxietynomore App

Me and a developer who actually comes to this blog for help, have spent the last 5 months creating an app for the Iphone and the reason I have hardly been around recently, it was such hard work and took up so much of my time.

Many people used to email me and ask why I did not have one and how useful it would be. So no trumpets or sales pitch as people know I don’t push anything on anyone, if people want it then I am just making them aware of it’s presence.

We did though both spend a lot of time and money trying to create something with loads of features and new information whilst trying to make it as cheap as possible to people. The price is £9.99 and is available from the istore or a by searching on your phone in the app store under anxietynomore.

It has the full book on there, a section with new information, direct links to this blog, site and my twitter account and a full audio and video section.

If anyone decides they would like it then I hope it helps them, for more information on it visit the page below and do check the video out at the bottom.

Please feel free to continue posting on the previous post for help and support. I will leave this up a week and then post a new one next Tuesday.

Thanks Paul

  2. Michelle Z Says:

How awesome and I agree with H above. I have an Android.

  3. Jennifer Says:

Great news Paul. Good idea,to be able to reach out to more people so they can literally carry you round in their pockets……not as a safety behaviour though ay :)
The advert and song were nice too
I do not have an iphone and probably will never get one, but have an old itouch in which i play all my music so may download it on that in the next few weeks.
Thanks for all your hard work supporting people as usual

That’s great work Paul! But I hope this site would be carried out as it was with your guidance and support.

  5. Paul David (Admin) Says:

Yes it will be avilable for the Android around August Michelle and H, we will be working on this v soon.

Yes Sophia the site will now get my full attention, but as technology moves forward then so do I as people use their phones as much as the internet these days and many people asked me about this before I started it.

A lot of time and money was put into this and I will never put the price up and if I get my initial investment back I will put the price down. It is not about money, it is about giving people what they want and spreading the word as much as possible.

Thanks for the kind reviews that have been left on the app already

Do leave a review if you find it useful

  8. Steveo Says:

Just downloading it now Paul :-)

  9. Paul David (Admin) Says:

Hope you enjoy it Steveo, I have it on my phone and switch the TV off and just lie there listening to the relaxation audio of the app and find it very relaxing.

I just want to thank the person who comes here who helped me develop the app, he comes and reads this blog, so he knows who he is and he is a 100% genuine person who has become a friend of mine and we may be meeting up soon. He worked very hard on this project and never complained about the workload once and was as keen as me to see it out there.

  10. Steveo Says:

It’s great on my iPad :-)

Haven’t had a full look at it yet but will look later today. Great work.

  11. Ola Says:

Thanks!! Very kind words Paul :) and I want to return the same kind words to you! An “impossible project” became possible, and who knows, a bonus friend, and friendship for life… I also hope we’ll meet this spring!

And why not write some more words myself here later on? I would like to explain to people why this project became such a passion and great importance for me… I will take the opportunity to write some more than just a few words later on. And it will focus on why the sentence “knowledge is power” came up in my mind very early in this project. For those who bought the app you can see me in the film ‘How the app came to life’ but there is something else I want to put my finger on…

And thanks all, for the kind words liking the app. And Steveo: I have it on my Ipad as well, and it’s a great if I am allowed to say so :)

And as for the Android question… After some rest I will focus on that!!
My wife is probably going to ask me… what’s an app NOW then!!?? No, just kidding! She has been wonderfully understanding… :) And thank you kids!!

    (:-)la

  12. Irene Says:

Ive got the book Paul and just bought the App, I had a quick look at it and it looks great . You have helped me loads thank
    Irene

  13. Steveo Says:

Ola – you are allowed to say so. It is very good on the iPad. The only comment I would make is when reading the book, you have to go back out and open separate chapters…

Obviously this isn’t a problem, but you guys have asked for feedback.

Loving the snow aswell Ola :-)

    Hope you are well!

  14. James jones Says:

Thanks for all your help paul. Bought the book and downloaded app today. Used the videos to show my wife so she can get a understanding what i am going through. Had it for 13 years now so time to move on and start enjoying life. Many thanks again. Off to listen to the relaxation now.

  15. Paul David (Admin) Says:

    All feedback welcome Steveo

I am not sure, but the chapter thing had to be done this way otherwise the page would have been far too long, not sure you can do it like a kindle were it swipes, one for Ola that.

Also do leave feedback if you like it, that goes to anyone thanks

  16. Ola Says:

Hi Steveo, and thanks for your feedback!
I experimented with different ideas and solutions for the book section. But the app had to be functional for both iphone, and ipad. The pdf reader I experimented with, was really good for the ipad, but a reading disaster for the iphone. So we did a compromise between functionality and the reading experience. My poor eyes had to see the text in iphone without the “zoom” function. 😉

If we had decided to make an Ibook, the pages would have had those lovely swipe effects. The technique comes so fast, and this app 1.0 is not the final version. Me and Paul’s intention is to add his useful material and as useful and functional app as we can now and in the future. But less is sometimes more. The most important thing was to create a straight forward app, easy to use for it’s purpose with Paul’s guidelines in focus.

I invite you, and everyone else for feedback and ideas which we might could add in the future updates. You are more than welcome to post them to us!

And about the snow… It was a wonderful and VERY cold day (-17 c)! I shot that film with my ipad put in the snow. But it’s sometimes wonderful to freeze… I feel more alive then. And afterwards coffe…

    Take care Steveo
    :)la

We will keep it fresh and update in the future

  18. Paul David (Admin) Says:

Same goes to you James sorry I have just got around to moderating your post and your right about being able to show your partner outside things to help them understand

    Paul

  19. AJ Says:

Just downloaded it… I hope that this helps to have this resource with me. :)

  20. Jmed Says:

Paul I would like to say thanks so very much for staying positive in each and everyone of ur posts, I am the happiest I’ve been in a long time, I only had my anxiety issue for a week but I litteraly thought I was going crazy, then I came across ur blog and began reading away, everything u went through in 10 years I went through in only a week and am still struggling a bit but nothing compared to how it was last week. I’m sure this isn’t the last time I will fall into the viscious anxiety cycle but now I know there are ways out of it… I don’t want to sound silly or anything however u have truly been god sent, I’ve been scrambling as to what career I’d like to take and maybe god in some way put this in my path to finally decide I want to be involved in the therapy field, thanks a million times over Paul u are truely an inspiration to me and I hope one day I get to thank u in person.
